"Tahira Syed helped us find our dream home in West University. We are two busy physicians and we needed our realtor to find us a very specific home in a short period of time. Tahira stepped up to the challenge from day 1. She is a true professional and walked us through the entire process. We were first-time home buyers and we had a lot of questions about the process and the housing market. Tahira patiently answered each one. She was always available by cell phone and by email – we often heard back from her in minutes, and it never took more than a few hours for her to respond. We needed a 4-bedroom home, preferably on a spacious lot, Mediterranean-style with an updated kitchen, garden and preferably no pool. We have very specific tastes and we are very picky! Tahira was very patient with us as we looked at each property. She scheduled showings at the time of our choosing – it was never inconvenient and she was always on time (or early!). The process was very well-organized and she came with sheets or olders on each home, so we had details on each property at our fingertips and we could discuss each one later. She was careful to note things like deed restrictions and location (vicinity to busy streets and highways), so we were well-informed about the pros and cons of each home. She pulled comps (comparison houses) for each property that we liked. With her efficiency, we were able to look at 30-40 houses in a short period of time. Every time a new property came on the market that fit the bill, she notified us and was always available to take us to showings. We saw our dream home early on and kept coming back to it. Tahira encouraged us to move ahead and make an offer. It took us some time to get our loan approval letter from the lender, and unfortunately, in the meantime, a bid by another buyer was accepted on our dream home. Tahira did everything she could to get our bid in, but we were too late. We were heartbroken, but Tahira reassured us that we would find our dream home. Imagine our surprise when, about 10 days later, we got a call from Tahira saying our dream home was back on the market and did we still want to make an offer?! We were surprised and thrilled. Tahira had explained that buying a home is very complicated and sometimes deals fall through (for any number of reasons). We quickly moved ahead with a bid and we got our dream house. There was still a lot of work to be done, including the inspections, negotiating repairs, completing all the numerous forms and obligations. Tahira kept us in the loop and emailed us documents for us to sign electronically, which was really convenient as we are both busy professionals who spend long hours at work. When it came time to close, Tahira was there at the title company with a smile and she was the first to congratulate us. She really went above and beyond her call of duty as a realtor. Keller Williams is lucky to have such an excellent realtor in Tahira Syed. We highly recommend her to any clients, whether they are new home buyers like we were, or someone looking for a new home. We will definitely ask her to be our realtor again in the future, as our parents will be looking for a home in the Houston area in the coming years.
